If you have to ask this question, the most helpful answer is far more than where the money actually went.
When you think back, you will remember:
“Oh yeah, I spent money on [this course that I never completed]”
or “I forgot to cancel that after the free trial period”.
What is more important is to use that to change your future.
Know you aren’t great completing courses? Don’t buy them.
Love trialling new tech? Set a reminder for the end of the trial.
The same principle applies for the bigger questions.
- How do I earn more so those small spends don’t max out my credit card? (ie a pricing issue)
- What else could I provide that my clients really need? (ie an income stream issue)
- Do I need to change my mix of business up (a business model issue)
And, yes, also look at impulse spending.
The fun thing is there are A TON more ways to increase your profit than just cutting your expenses.
And they will be a lot more long lasting than trying to white knuckle a tech issue with YouTube videos to save the call out fee.
In my years of supporting business owners (and business functions) answer that question, everyone has left the room feeling relieved and excited for the positive changes that can be made to turn things around.
In my Finance in Flow consult we will dive into your current income – what’s working, what isn’t, what could be tweaked – to create a killer plan to earn more (and not have to worry about a call out fee again).
It’s fun I swear!
Have a great week,
Eliza
